Two turkeys in Turkey

Alex and Jon have traveled together before.  You'll remember the 2007 motorcycle circumnavigation of the Baltic Sea...the trip that sent diplomatic relations between the US and The Kremlin on a downward spiral?

Taking Over Red Square 2007

So, this time they will be exploring Turkey.  They arrive in Istanbul on Friday June 28th for a fast, all-day tour of one of the world's favorite cities.  Yes, Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, The Basilica Cistern, The Grand Bazaar, Tokapi Palace all in about 8 or so hours.

On Saturday a quick flight to Gocek, between the Mediterranean and Aegean Coasts, is where the riding begins.  They'll check out some great riding roads, sunny beach towns, historic sites and Turkish cuisine.

The objective is to meet some people, have some fun and cut down some trees and build a mosque or a shopping center in Taksim Square....... without starting a revolution.
